BOOKKEEPING

 

About the Role

This role supports core bookkeeping operations within a collaborative team environment and contributes to the accuracy and reliability of daily bank operations.

 Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Maintain accurate account records through report reviews, updates, and routine maintenance activities
  • Complete recurring reconciliation and operational processing tasks in accordance with established procedures
  • Handle internal and external phone calls regarding deposit products and related account needs
  • Support department operations through teamwork, shared responsibilities, and rotating assignments
  • Provide backup support across departmental functions to ensure consistent coverage

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within the department
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance recurring deadlines with daily tasks

ASSISTANT AUDITOR

About the Role

Assist the Auditor in performing scheduled internal audits across all areas of the bank

 Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Perform audit testing to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining detailed audit workpapers and documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy
  • Collaborate with departments to address question or concerns identified during audit activities
  • Assist with follow-up reviews to verify that recommendations from prior audits have been implemented
  • Assist in the monitoring and resolution of teller cash overages and shortages, including research and reporting
  • Attend Audit Committee meetings every other month to provide updates on audit activities and findings
  • Assist in preparing and tracking annual confirmation notices issued to customers for account accuracy verification
  • Help prepare reports for regulatory examinations and external audit engagements as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive audit and bank information at all times

COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Job Description Summary

The primary responsibility of the Compliance Specialist is to ensure the Bank is in full compliance with government regulations in areas concerning loans, deposits, BSA, and general safety and soundness.  Compliance includes disclosures, record keeping, and retention requirements.  The Compliance Specialist will report directly to the President.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Report on the state of the compliance environment at quarterly compliance committee meetings
  • Coordinate with the compliance committee and provide assistance to its members
  • Develop and maintain compliance policy and procedures
  • Monitor changes to Federal consumer regulations
  • Review forms and disclosures
  • Review advertisements and promotional materials
  • Serve as contact point and work with outside compliance consultants
  • Attend compliance training opportunities
  • Coordinate employee compliance training/education
  • Perform Real Estate Appraisal reviews (3-4 hours per week)
  • Assist marketing with gathering information on community development related loans and donations/charitable contributions
  • Annual analysis of geographic lending patterns and recommend changes to CRA assessment area as needed
  • Assist with maintaining CRA Public file
  • Perform additional duties as required

 Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Proven work experience in compliance with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Ability to learn legal concepts and perform research and analysis
  • Capable of self-direction, independent judgment and handling multiple priorities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software and internet research
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential material to avoid disclosure of any such information

 


CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Required to open all types of depository accounts (CD’s/IRA’s/ HSA’s/ Checking & Savings) and assist CSR’s in other locations with training, questions or concerns.
  • Reconcile customer bank accounts as needed.
  • GNBancorp stock – responsible for stock transactions and recordkeeping.
  • Be flexible in scheduling coverage with co-workers.

 Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Possess good communication and people skills in order to deal with customers and other employees within Main Banking Center.
  • Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities as required.
  • Be a good team player with other employees.

FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME TELLER

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and open accounts accurately
  • Balance cash drawer daily and maintain proper cash limits
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or refer issues to supervisor as needed
  • Promote bank products and services that meet customer needs
  • Maintain knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and compliance regulations
  • Support other team members and assist with branch operations as needed

Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work efficiently
  • Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred but not required (banking experience a plus)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office technology
