Bookkeeping

 Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Maintain deceased customer accounts, including identifying required documentation, updating records, mailing account letters, and handling ownership changes
  • Process daily overdraft reports, including updating accounts for overdraft services, removing features when customers no longer qualify, reviewing excessive usage reports, and maintaining accounts for charge off and recovery situations
  • Perform various reconcilements, account entries, and processing tasks on recurring and monthly schedules
  • Handle daily internal and external phone calls regarding deposit products and related account needs
  • Perform shared departmental tasks on a rotating basis, including mobile deposits, NSF and reject reports, and responding to customer messages through the online banking platform
  • Serve as backup within various departmental functions to ensure coverage as needed

Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within the department
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance recurring deadlines with daily tasks
  • Clear and effective communication skills to support customer interactions, collaboration with coworkers, and teamwork within the department
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Willingness to cross-train and learn additional bookkeeping functions as needed
  • Trustworthy and dependable in carrying out daily responsibilities and contributing to overall departmental success
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred

Experience

Work experience in banking industry preferred but not required.

Loan Processor

 Job Description Summary

The Loan Processor is responsible for processing all types of loans, working closely with the Loan Originators, from application through post-closing of the loan. In addition, this role analyzes, reviews, and clears underwriting conditions, resolves routine title issues and prepares loan files for closing.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Processes and closes loan applications in accordance with secondary market and bank guidelines and ensures loan documentation complies with Federal, State, and local rules and regulations.
  • Ensures adherence to bank policies and procedures and Banking Regulations.
  • Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent with professional standards to work effectively with customers, co-workers, management, partners, and vendors.
  • Interacts with Loan Originators to facilitate a smooth transaction. Additionally, interacts with outside sources such as vendors, service providers, partners, and customers to facilitate a smooth transaction.
  • Maintains a high level of customer service by being proactive in communication with co-workers, customers, vendors, attorneys, partners, title company representatives to ensure proficient processing of all loans and a positive experience.
  • Inputs and updates data into loan origination systems and assures adequate file integrity. Generates and/or ensures timely generation of all required documentation and processing disclosures.
  • Orders various reports such as appraisals, flood certification, and title, reviewing for issues or disputes and working with various parties to clear outstanding items.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and regulations helpful but not required.
  • Knowledge of the mortgage process from origination to post closing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision making and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/duties.
  • Trustworthy with the ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and trust.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel. Related experiences with loan origination systems preferred but not required.

Experience

Work experience in mortgage industry preferred, with detailed knowledge of secondary market guidelines and regulations and knowledge of the mortgage process from origination to post closing.

Education

Required - High School or better

Preferred - Bachelor’s or better in Finance or related field
