Collections Clerk

 

Job Description Summary

The Loan Center is seeking a Collections Clerk responsible for managing delinquent accounts and supporting collection-related activities.

Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Contacting delinquent accounts
  • Managing DDA charge-offs
  • Fraud/scam losses, and identity theft reporting
  • Preparing monthly delinquency reports
  • Processing payments
  • Assisting customers
  • Coordinating occasional local repossessions
  • Representing the bank in small claims court

Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within the department
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance recurring deadlines with daily tasks
  • Clear and effective communication skills to support customer interactions, collaboration with coworkers, and teamwork within the department
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
  • Trustworthy and dependable in carrying out daily responsibilities and contributing to overall departmental success
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
  • Willingness to learn and assume additional duties

Full-Time and Part-Time Teller

 Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and open accounts accurately
  • Balance cash drawer daily and maintain proper cash limits
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or refer issues to supervisor as needed
  • Promote bank products and services that meet customer needs
  • Maintain knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and compliance regulations
  • Support other team members and assist with branch operations as needed

Job Requirements, Competencies, and Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to work efficiently
  • Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred but not required (banking experience a plus)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with standard office technology

Experience

Work experience in banking industry preferred but not required.

Hours

We are seeking a reliable part-time teller to provide coverage during peak and lunch hours.  This position is ideal for someone looking for a consistent, part-time schedule.
