Welcome Home

Homebuyers may qualify for a down payment grant of up to $10,000!

As a potential new homeowner, you can apply for up to $10,000 (or $15,000 for eligible veterans or active duty military personnel) to help offset your upfront costs as you close your home loan.  Welcome Home grants are offered for a limited time until all funds have been reserved, so don't wait to apply!

What is the Welcome Home Program?

The Welcome Home Program (WHP) is sponsored by GNB Banking Centers and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati. It offers grants to assist low and moderate income homebuyers to fund down payments and closing costs.  The grant is valid for the purchase of both existing homes or new construction homes as long as the home will be the buyers’ primary residence for at least five years.

Who qualifies?

Homebuyers must contribute as least $500 of their own funds towards the down payment and/or closing costs. The total income for all occupants who will reside in the home must be at or below 80% of the Mortgage Revenue Bond (MRB) limit for the county and state where the property is located.
